INNOVATION PARTNERSHIPS

I am a senior business development executive with experience in pharmacological R&D and more than 17 years of experience in building partnerships and facilitating innovation, including responsibility for partnering discussions and negotiations, and for collaboration management.

Previously I was an R&D Innovation Sourcing Director at Novo Nordisk A/S, a global pharmaceutical company headquartered in Denmark, where I was responsible for the identification and evaluation of partnering opportunities related to potential new protein-based therapeutics and related drug delivery and production technologies in the strategic focus areas of diabetes and obesity.

I am from New York City, awarded a Ph.D. in Basic Medical Sciences in 1985 at New York University, and relocated to Copenhagen in 1987 for a research position in pharmacology at Ferrosan, which was acquired by Novo Nordisk.

In 1998, I transferred to Business Development where I devoted my time to the search for new projects and technologies of interest for Novo Nordisk’s drug discovery, drug delivery, and early development activities, and to establishment of partnerships with innovation providers.

I now provide independent consulting services to facilitate partnering between Industry – Academia – Biotech companies.
